• MPRL E&P Pte Ltd. signed a Production Sharing Contract ( PSC ) with Myanma Oil & Gas Enterprise
  ( MOGE ) on 18 January 2007.

• The area of the Block is 9,830 square kilometers and is located on the Western Coastline of Myanmar,
  south of Blocks A-1, A-3, A-4 and A-5 which are operated by Daewoo, CNOOC, CNPC and Petrogas.

• In the early 1970’s 2D Seismic Acquisition was conducted in Block A-6 by Martaban Cities Services Inc.
   and MOGE.

• A non - Exclusive shallow marine survey was also conducted by CGG in 1993.

• A total of 1,870 line kilometers of 2D Seismic has been acquired in Block A-6.

Investment Climate and Incentives

Myanmar offers a sound politico - economic environment in the region in addition to its attractive PSC terms and geological prospects. Some of the attractive incentives granted in Myanmar PSC terms are;
  -  3 year Tax Holiday plus two year extension automatically granted
  -  Corporate Tax is 30% on taxable income
  -  No export duty levied on export of petroleum
  -  Accelerated depreciation ( 25% ) per year is allowed
  -  Domestic market supply is priced close to fair market value
  -  Renegotiation clause specifically allows necessary adjustments / amendments, should situations arise not 
     envisaged in the original contract.
