MPRL E&P Pte Ltd. formerly Myanmar Petroleum Resources Limited ( MPRL ) is a foreign independent exploration & production company. MPRL jointly operates an onshore oil & gas field namely Mann Field in Central Myanmar with the Myanmar National Oil Company ( Myanma Oil & Gas Enterprise - MOGE ) under a Performance Compensation Contract ( PCC ).

In addition to the Onshore Mann Field Enhancement Project, MPRL E&P Pte Ltd. recently signed a PSC Contract with Myanma Oil & Gas Enterprise to operate Offshore Block A-6. This Block, which covers an area of 9,830 square kilometers, is located on the western coast of Myanmar and is situated south of the recent gas discoveries made by Daewoo in Blocks A-1 and A-3.

MPRL E&P Pte Ltd. signs PSC for Offshore Block A-6 Myanmar

MPRL E&P Pte Ltd. signed a Production Sharing Contract for Offshore Block A-6 on 18 January 2007 with the Myanma Oil & Gas Enterprise ( MOGE ) in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

Block A-6 covers an area of approximately 9,830 square kilometers and is located on the western coastline of Myanmar just south of Blocks A-1, A-3 and A-4 currently operated by Daewoo and CNOOC respectively.

The Challenges of Mann Field - Myanmar

MPRL E&P Pte Ltd. an independent exploration & production company operates an onshore oil and gas field namely Mann Field in Central Myanmar, with the Myanmar National Oil Company ( Myanma Oil & Gas Enterprise - MOGE ) under a Performance Compensation Contract ( PCC ). The term of the contract is fifteen ( 15 ) years and is valid until year 2014.

Mann Field was discovered in 1970 and reached peak production of 24,000 bopd in 1979. There are currently 663 Wells in the field, of which 328 are producing and the remaining are shut-in.
